How to Easily Imitate Your Way to Clarity

More often than not, life’s paths are not a straight shot to your final destination. No, they are just the opposite, winding, foggy, and filled with uncertainty.

What’s around the next bend? What’s that fuzzy image ahead?
You don’t know.

How do you navigate these paths? Do you run with eyes closed hoping to make it where you want to go? No!

Without a clear picture, what’s your next move? Do you stop and give up? Absolutely not!

In this ACRONYM story, we’ll consider the second of the three I’s that lead to CLARITY. How to Easily Imitate Your Way to Clarity

Imitate Your Way to Clarity

Apprenticeships were the centuries-old practice where a student studied and imitated the master, eventually developing their own style.

It was the same practice I used to become an architectural illustrator. I studied under an amazing artist, Mark Bird. The same principle can be used to lead a person to clarity.

And the same principle can be used to gain clarity. Today, you might hear it referred to as mentoring.

Through others we become ourselves. ~Lev S. Vygotsky

Choose your friends wisely because certain friendships can cause your clarity to be skewed in a direction that might not serve you well.

Ask yourself this question. Who is someone you admire for the person they are or the achievements they have realized?

Daily Doable: Look for that person you desire to become. Examine their life. Find a way to interact with them. Ask them if they would mentor you. More than likely, you’ll be pleasantly surprised at their response. Imitate that person. The process of imitation will guide you to a realization of your ideal.
