Considering The Storms of Life? The Daily Doable – S1:E9

Welcome to the lightly edited transcript of the video. You’ll find a link to the video below.

Hi, this is Tim Maudlin. I would like to welcome you to another episode of the Daily Doable. Today’s episode is a Walking With Remi episode and we would like to consider with you the topic of The Storms of Life.

I have a quote that I shared on Facebook the other day and evidently it resonated with a lot of people. The engagement that I got from this one quote was amazing. It goes like this.

“Not all storms come to disrupt your life. Some come to clear your path.”

I want you to think about that quote and I want you to tie it in with me with another quote. And this comes from my favorite author. Rather than call himself an author, he really prefers to call himself and noticer. His name is Andy Andrews. Talking about the storms we go through in life Andy says,

“We’re either in a storm, we’re coming out of a storm or we’re about to go into a storm.”

I think that pretty well sums it up. We’re either in one, coming out of one about to go into one.

Knowing that to be true, how do we feel about those storms and how did we react to those storms? I know it’s easy to get discouraged when storms are happening. I’ve been through my share and they can be disruptive. But really there’s another way to look at these. Maybe those storms are clearing the path for something much better than what you’ve been through before.

The Daily Doable I’d like to leave you with is this. When you find yourself going through a storm in life or whether you’re coming out of one or about to go into one, take the time to consider. Maybe that storm is clearing the path for you. Maybe there’s an opportunity that you haven’t seen yet that the storm you’re going through is making possible. I know it changes my mindset and changes my whole outlook on storms when I think about him in those ways.

I want to thank you for joining us. As always, we would like to invite you to our Facebook page. Do What You Can Now as well as our website, DoWhatYouCanNow.com

So until next time, this is Tim and Remi encouraging you to Do What You Can Now. See you soon.
Bye.
