Daily Devotionals Day – 20: 150 Plus Devotional Ideas (at your fingertips)
150 plus devotional ideas from the ONE book that you probably already own multiple copies.
Welcome to Day 20 of my 30 Daily Devotional Challenge.
Each of the devotions during this 30 day challenge have been 5 days each but on Days 6 and 7, I want to offer some specific ideas you can use. A great source of ideas is the Book of Psalms.
Mankind’s walk with God is described in every conceivable emotion. From joy to despair, the psalmists poured out their souls and left us a treasure trove of petitions and prayers. To understand the Psalms is to understand the heart of the believer.
Regarding his 3-volume commentary on the Psalms, The Treasury of David*, Charles Spurgeon said in the preface.
The delightful study of the Psalms has yielded me boundless profit and ever-growing pleasure; common gratitude constrains me to communicate to others a portion of the benefit, with the prayer that it may induce them to search further for themselves.
*These books are a part of my personal library. I’ve found them very useful in my studies.
There are 150 Psalms in total. That’s at least 150 different devotions. And if you only considered the 119th Psalm, it could easily be broken into a minimum of 22 separate devotions.
Daily Doable: Whether You TAP or Turn, I hope you will consider the Book of Psalms for your devotions.
I’ll see you tomorrow with another devotional topic.
Thanks for joining me in this challenge. I REALLY appreciate you taking the time to read this.
